Abby's First Trick-Or-Treating

Trick-Or-Treating didn't start off very well. Abby got out of the pack-n-play when she was supposed to be napping and got hair spray in her eyes. Long story short she didn't actually fall asleep until she would have been getting up. I had to wake her up to go Trick-Or-Treating so she was miserable. She didn't want me to put the make up on her face or wear the ears for her costume. I'm pretty sure the only reason she left the tail in was because she didn't realize she was wearing it. When she did realize it was on, she quickly ripped that off too, but that wasn't until we were almost done Trick-Or-Treating.

Ben & Sam

I wasn't able to get many pictures of her with Sam and Ben because she was so grumpy. (She's been grumpy since we got here. Between trying to adjust to the time change and learning to share 24/7 she's had a tough time.)
The best I could do of the 3 of them...it's almost impossible for 3 kids to be still at the same time.

After 5 or 6 houses she finally realized what was going on and started to cheer up. She's surprisingly shy when she's around strangers and wouldn't say "Trick-or-Treat" but did say "thank you" every time. She was very excited about the candy. She loved the housed where she could pick the candy out of the bowl herself. At one house, the guy had a bowl of candy on his lap and was handing kids the candy. Abby walked right up to the bowl and picked a piece of candy out.
Abby was afraid of this & wouldn't have her picture taken.  Some people really decorate their yard instead of just having a table or chairs set out.
Trick-Or-Treating is done a little differently in Hawaii than in Massachusetts. It's so warm that everyone sets up a table or chairs up in their driveway. It was gorgeous out and it ended up being a great night.
