Laie Temple Open House

The Laie Hawaii Temple has been under construction for the past 18 months and we're lucky enough to be here during the open house.

The temple is beautiful and all the kids we extremely well behaved.  My favorite part was the bridal room.  Abby loved all the chandeliers.  Her face just lit up when we saw them and she would point to them in each room we were in.  When I asked her what her favorite part was she said "cookie."  (They had refreshments afterward.)  It was so special to be in the temple with Abby even though she probably won't remember much.  I'm excited that she'll get to go to the Hartford Temple open house in a few years too.

On a separate note, Abby learned to drink out of a water bottle while we were eating our cookies.  She usually puts the entire opening in her mouth and spills it everywhere.  She figured out how to put the bottom part in between her lips. She was so excited!
