Ever since Abby was born she's been trying to suck her thumb. This picture was taken 10 minutes after she was born and she already has her hand in her mouth.
She is still too little to realize that she controls her hand. She'll put her hand in her mouth but then gets upset when she pulls it away and she can't suck on it any more. While we were in the hospital the only way to calm her down when she was upset was for me let her suck on my pinky.
Once we got home we gave her a pacifier to calm her down until she finds her thumb. Hopefully she'll find it, because getting up to put the pacifier back in her mouth is already getting old.
When she does have her pacifier she sometimes puts her little hands around it...just to make sure it doesn't fall out.
